Few i Little són adjectius que en anglès es fan servir per assenyalar una escassa quantitat d'un substantiu.

La diferència entre few i Little és que:

• few: S'utilitza per a assenyalar una escassa quantitat de substantius comptables, que són aquells que poden dividir-se en unitats. Pot traduir-se com "pocs" o "poques".
• Little: S'utilitza per substantius incomptables, és a dir aquells que no tenen plural o que no poden dividir-se en unitats. Little també pot utilitzar-se com adverbi, modificant adjectius. Pot traduir-se com "poc" o "poca".

És important recordar que alguns substantius que són incomptables en espanyol no ho són en anglès i viceversa.

Quan s'utilitzen aquests adjectius precedits de l'article "a", la quantitat té un sentit positiu, com en espanyol seria "uns pocs" o "alguns" i "una mica" "alguna cosa".

No obstant això, si s'utilitzen sense "a", el seu significat és negatiu, com en espanyol seria "pocs" o "poc".

També tenen sentit negatiu si se li afegeix "only".
