El futur simple és el temps verbal en anglès que es forma amb el verb modal will.
Estructura en afirmatiu
Subjecte + will + verb
I will come back tomorrow. / Tornaré demà.

Subjecte + will not / will not + verb
I will not have time. / No tindré temps

Quan es fa servir?
El futur simple s'utilitza per a:
- Fer prediccions sobre el futur de certa probabilitat. Poden acompanyar-se amb el expressió "I think" / Jo penso. Per exemple: I think it will rain tomorrow. / Crec que plourà demà.
- Expressar desitjos a futur. Per exemple: I hope I will see him next week. / Espero veure-ho la setmana que ve.
- Parlar de situacions molt probables en el futur. I will start school tomorrow. / Començaré les classes demà.
- Transmetre una decisió espontània o una promesa. I will fix it. / El repararé.
- Fer una comanda, a través d'una interrogació. En aquest cas, la traducció no s'ha de fer de forma literal. Will you answer the phone, please? / Podries atendre el telèfon, si us plau?

Altres formes de futur en anglès
Futur continu: s'utilitza per parlar d'una acció que passarà en el futur, però que tindrà una durada.

Subjecte + will + verb to be + gerundi (ing)
Next week we will be Staying at a hotel. / La setmana pròximes estarem allotjant-nos en un hotel.
Going to: s'utilitza per fer referència a el futur immediat i per explicar els plans a futur.

Subjecte + verb to be + goint to + verb sense conjugar
He is going to travel around the world. / Ell va a viatjar al voltant de el món.
futur perfecte: S'utilitza per parlar d'una acció que va estar finalitzada en el futur.
estructura:
Subjecte + will + verb to have + participi passat
This time tomorrow, I will have arrived. / A aquesta hora matí, ja hauré arribat.
