What és un pronom que significa “què” o "el que"En anglès i pot utilitzar-se tant en preguntes (com pronom interrogatiu) o per fer afirmacions (com pronom relatiu).
Pregunta "wh"
En anglès hi ha una sèrie d'adverbis i pronoms que comencen amb les lletres wh: when, which, where, whereas, who, whom, whose i what. Totes aquestes paraules, a l'utilitzar-se per formular preguntes, formen preguntes obertes, És a dir que no poden respondre només amb "sí" o amb "no".
